Fearlessness and Goodwill is an oratorio for tenor, mixed chorus and orchestra with text by the composer Werner Egk: "Der von einer Mücke gestochen wird, was nützt es ihm, wenn er sie tötet?... Da bleiben doch tausend Mücken, die bereit sind, zu stechen!" A sentiment most Winnipeggers can agree with. "What use is it, to the person who gets stung by a mosquito, if he kills it?... There remain thousands of mosquitoes who are ready to sting!"
